How do my students use Pear Deck?
Click on the menu button. Go to Require Student Logins. Turn it on (green). When you present your lesson, students will enter the Session Join Code at joinpd.com or click the Session Join Link, and they will then be required to join with the email account type that you selected in your Settings menu.
- Start your Pear Deck Lesson.
- Open the Dashboard View.
- In the Dashboard, click on the blue Roster button, located in the top right corner of the screen.
- In the Roster, click Invite Your Classroom.
- Choose the Google Classroom section you want to invite.
- As students join, their names light up.
How do I submit a response to a Pear Deck?

- Put your question, instructions, and/or image(s) directly onto your slide.
- Open the Pear Deck for Google Slides Add-on or PowerPoint Online Add-in. In the sidebar, scroll down to the Ask Students a Question section. Click on the Text option. That’s it!
Do students need to install Pear Deck?
Students/participants do not need to create a Pear Deck account. But presenters can require participants to join the Session with an email address or have them join anonymously before presenting.
Can you use Pear Deck with zoom?
Pear Deck gives you interactive options when teaching remotely. Gather students on a video call with Skype, Zoom, Google Meet or Microsoft Teams. Share your screen with an interactive Pear Deck presentation. Students join the presentation in a separate tab (or in a window side-by-side with the video call).
